The Center for Civil Society and Non-Profit Management (CSNM) at Khon Kaen University is looking for highly qualified and motivated persons for positions at CSNM and for a project to be funded by an international donor agency. CSNM is dedicated to building the skills of managers and leaders of non-profit organizations in Thailand and throughout the lower Mekong Sub-region, equipping them to effectively mobilize resources to improve local governance.

CSNM is offering two different opportunities. One is to fill CSNM staffing positions and the other is to be part of a CSNM donor-funded project team. CSNM positions are open duration while donor-funded project positions are up to 3 years. All positions are based in Khon Kaen. The Center offers competitive salaries and a complete benefits package.

CSNM Positions: 3 Positions

 

1. Business Manager 

Oversee CSNM annual budget design and management tasks. Track and analyze
expenditures and revenue, and report results to Director. Lead development of new business opportunities and priorities, maintain new business pipeline and oversee proposal development. Design and implement marketing strategy and plans. Develop and maintain relationships with donors in Thailand and the region. 

Qualifications: 

  • University degree in related field.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in positions of similar role and responsibility.
  • Strong budget and financial accounting skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and financial data management software.
  • Fluent English and Thai reading, writing and speaking skills. 

2. Training Program Manager 

Manage all aspects of CSNM training activities including design of curriculum implementation of training work plans, and supervision of short-term and long-term training experts. Collect information, maintain training database and contribute to reporting on the results of training activities. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant training organizations and NGO partners in Thailand and the region.


Qualifications: 

  • Advanced university degree in related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience training staff of non-profit organizations in Thailand and/or the region.
  • Experience developing curriculum for project and organization management courses.
  • Understanding of international best practices in non-profit management and associated training. Excellent public speaking and facilitation skills.
  • Fluent English and Thai reading, writing and speaking skills

3. Procurement Officer 

Manage procurement processes for office and program functions. Procure goods and services in accordance with CSNM regulations and policies. Solicit and collect bids, build bid comparison matrices and make recommendations for vendor selection. 

Qualifications: 

  • University degree. 
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience. 
  • English and Thai fluency required 

 

Donor-Funded Project Positions: 5 Positions 

1. Chief of Party (Project Manager) 

Oversee all aspects of program operations, administration, budgeting, financial accounting and information systems management. Provide technical and intellectual leadership. Manage communication with donor and other stakeholders on project activities. 

Qualifications:  

  • Advanced university degree in related field.
  • Minimum 10 years experience at senior leadership level working to develop institutional and human resource capacity of non-profit organizations in Thailand and/or the region.
  • Excellent public speaking and facilitation skills.
  • Fluent English and Thai reading, writing and speaking skills. 

2. Deputy Chief of Party (Deputy Program Manager) 

Provide technical assistance and guidance to project staff. Develop project work plans and oversee implementation of activities. Assist with project reporting tasks, including annual reports and success stories. Liaise with donor and other stakeholders on technical and managerial issues. 

Qualifications:  

  • Advanced university degree in related field.
  • Minimum 8 years experience working with non-profit organizations in Thailand and/or the region, with emphasis on organizational and human resource capacity building activities.
  • Excellent public speaking and facilitation skills.
  • Fluent English and Thai reading, writing and speaking skills. 

3. Training Coordinator 

Lead design and implementation of training programs and mentoring activities with focus on project and organization management. Assist in developing management policies and processes with partner organizations. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant training organizations and NGO partners in Thailand and the region.  

Qualifications: 

  • Advanced university degree in related field.
  • Minimum 8 years experience training staff of non-profit organizations in Thailand and/or the region.
  • Experience developing curriculum for project and organization management training courses. Understanding of international best practices in non-profit management and associated training.
  • Excellent public speaking and facilitation skills.
  • Fluent English and Thai reading, writing and speaking skills. 

4. Finance Officer 

Manage project financial and accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures and policies, including preparing, reviewing and facilitating payments, recording and entering data into database, and filing. 

Qualifications:

  • University degree.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Fluent English and Thai reading and writing. 

5. Program Monitoring and Communications Officer 

Lead monitoring and assessment tasks, including collecting and analyzing information on qualitative and quantitative output and outcome indicators.  Draft reports on the progress and impact of project activities, and lead presentation of reports to the donor and other stakeholders. 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in related field.
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience implementing and monitoring development projects in Thailand.
  • Excellent data management skills.
  • Very strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Fluent English and Thai reading, writing and speaking skills
